Stream Friday the 13th Films Online in 2025

by Carter Dec 03,2025

Following the success of Halloween (1978), Friday the 13th kicked off the 80s by pushing the slasher genre to new, gorier extremes. Jason Voorhees made his first appearance (in a manner of speaking) to terrorize teenagers at a summer camp on Crystal Lake, and it's safe to say the original Friday the 13th is essential viewing for any horror fan. Spanning 12 films and involving 11 directors, the hockey-masked villain has since become a zombie, traveled to space, and even clashed with another slasher icon.

If you're planning to celebrate today's date with a slasher movie marathon, here's where you can stream every Friday the 13th film right now.

Where to Stream the Friday the 13th Movies Online

The Friday the 13th films have often been difficult to find online. Just last October, the first eight movies (the original series) became available on Paramount+, but they were quietly removed sometime after. Currently, Pluto TV, a free ad-supported streaming service, is the only platform where you can find the original eight Friday the 13th movies. The 2009 reboot is available on Max.

Otherwise, all Friday the 13th films can be rented or purchased from digital retailers, which is the only way to access Jason Goes to Hell (perhaps for the best), Freddy vs. Jason, and Jason X.

Will There Be More Friday the 13th Movies?

Although the 2009 reboot was intended to revive the franchise, complicated legal disputes over the rights have halted the production of any new Friday the 13th movies since. The most notable release from the series in the last 15 years was Friday the 13th: The Game, which, due to further legal issues, was delisted at the end of 2023.

However, a 13th Friday the 13th film may still be on the horizon. Earlier this year, Horror Inc. announced a collaboration with original rights holders to develop a multi-platform Jason Universe. As you might expect, that's the official name. While this Jason-verse is set to begin with a Crystal Lake TV series on Peacock, fans are hopeful that Jason will return to the big screen before too long.
