Alienware Aurora R16 with RTX 5080 GPU Hits Market at $2,399
Starting today, Dell unveils the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, featuring the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, priced at just $2,399.99 with free shipping. This deal stands out as one of the most competitive for an RTX 5080-equipped prebuilt system, especially as other brands have steadily raised prices since the RTX 50 series debuted in January. Comparable RTX 5080 prebuilts at Dell start above $4,000. Finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU for a custom build is tough and could cost nearly as much as this entire rig.
Update: Tariffs have impacted Dell, and with limited stock of Blackwell GPUs, prices for Alienware desktops with RTX 50 series GPUs are likely to rise soon.

Alienware Aurora R16 with Intel Core Ultra 7 265F and RTX 5080
$2,399.99 at AlienwareThe Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes loaded with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Meteor Lake-based Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU delivers a peak turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, 20 cores, and a 30MB cache. It’s paired with a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum PSU.
The RTX 5080 is one of three new Blackwell GPUs, all notoriously hard to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you own a recent high-end GPU, the RTX 5080 offers marginal performance gains over the RTX 4080, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation enhances visuals in supported games. For those upgrading from older cards, the RTX 5080 delivers a substantial performance leap, especially if you embrace Nvidia’s AI-driven features."
RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Sold Out Across Retail
The initial batch of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs hit preorders and vanished within an hour. The top-tier RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 led the release, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Prebuilt PCs with these GPUs face similar shortages, with systems either sold out, pricier, or delayed in delivery.
