Amazon Slashes Prices on GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming PCs

by Savannah Apr 18,2025

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card hit the market in late February with a suggested retail price of $749.99. However, finding one at this price has proven to be a challenge. Just like the rest of the Blackwell series, both individual sellers and manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon of inflating prices. You're likely to find the RTX 5070 Ti listed for no less than $1,000.

Luckily, there's a smart workaround for this price gouging: opting for a prebuilt gaming PC. Amazon is currently selling CyberpowerPC RTX 5070 Ti gaming desktops starting at $2,069.99. This is a competitive price, especially considering the RTX 5070 Ti's performance is nearly on par with the RTX 4080 Super, even without considering the boost from DLSS 4. For comparison, the best deal on an RTX 4080 Super gaming PC at HP is $2,299.99. Unless you're loyal to a particular brand, choosing one of these prebuilt systems might be your best bet.

My top pick is the CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme, featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU paired with an RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD. In our review, Jackie Thomas praised the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, stating, "the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is extremely powerful in games, which makes it easier to recommend than other recent processors like the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K or Ryzen 9 9900X. Especially if you're building a rig with a powerful graphics card, the 9800X3D is going to be the best way to get the most performance."

Among the Blackwell cards released so far, the RTX 5070 Ti offers the best value for money, particularly when compared to the previous generation GPUs. It matches the RTX 4080 Super in performance and even outshines the RTX 5080, which is only about 10%-15% faster but costs 33% more. This GPU can deliver high framerates in almost all games, even at 4K with ray tracing enabled. Moreover, for AI tasks, the RTX 5070 Ti might be a better investment than the RTX 50870 since both share the same 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU Review by Jacqueline Thomas

"At $749, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is the best 4K graphics card for most people, delivering much better value than either the RTX 5080 or 5090. Across my entire test suite, this GPU soared at 4K, coming within striking distance of much more expensive graphics cards, and that's before taking multi frame generation into account, which will make the RTX 5070 Ti even better at hitting extremely high framerates, albeit with a hit to latency."

HP is currently offering a significant discount on its top-tier HP Omen 45L gaming PC, featuring a 14th-gen Intel Core i7-14700K CPU and GeForce RTX 4080 Super GPU, now priced at just $2,299.99 after a $700 instant savings. This is one of the most powerful gaming PCs available from HP and can handle any game at up to 4K resolution. It's nearly identical in performance to the new RTX 5070 Ti GPU and about 10% less powerful than the RTX 5080 GPU, with the same amount of VRAM, although it uses GDDR6 instead of GDDR7.
