Castle Doombad is back! The tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014, has returned to Android as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, courtesy of Grumpyface Studios and Yodo1.

Grumpyface, known for hits like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single Castle Doombad remake. However, they've split the project into two: Free To Slay for mobile and Castle Doombad Classic for PC and Nintendo Switch (releasing later this year). Classic offers a remastered version of the original with updated content. A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.

Unleash Your Inner Evil in Castle Doombad: Free To Slay!

Embrace your villainous side! Build a wicked lair and defend it against heroic do-gooders using traps and minions as your weapons. This is a refreshing twist on the typical tower defense formula.

Check out the game trailer below:

Castle Doombad: Free To Slay is free-to-play with ads and optional in-app purchases. It features the complete original game with 70 stages, daily challenges, and endless modes. Unlock and upgrade over 30 traps, and collect over 100 items.

A cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you customize your Dark Lord and his lair with evil artifacts. These can be combined with equippable "Baddie Bonus" perks.

A new roguelite mode, "Dr. Lord Evilstein's Roguevenge," adds randomly generated castle layouts and collectible Nightmares that grant unique powers. Download it now from the Google Play Store!
