Aquarion Tribe Ascends to Thalassic Dominance in Polytopia

Midjiwan has unleashed a massive update for The Battle of Polytopia, completely revamping the Aquarion Tribe. This significant rework breathes new life into the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion receive a stunning visual overhaul. Land units now sport mermaid tails, making them amphibious warriors equally at home in water and (somewhat less effectively) on land. This update introduces flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to occupy the same space for the first time, adding a new strategic dimension.

Buildings have also adapted to the aquatic environment. Construction on water is now possible, and Lost Cities are hidden within deep-sea ruins, forming ideal aquatic bases. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops, a crucial element of the Aquarion's strategy, are permanently integrated, functioning similarly to land-based farms.

New aquatic adversaries join the fray. Sharks provide surprise attacks, Puffers unleash long-range bombardments, and Jellies deliver electrifying shocks. Fan favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, return, with Crabs now flooding tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. See the changes in action:
