Assetto Corsa EVO Launches Today, Rivaling Gran Turismo and Forza

For enthusiasts of automobile simulators, January 16, 2025, marks a historic day. Kunos Simulazioni Studios will launch Assetto Corsa EVO on Steam early access, bringing an exhilarating experience to the gaming world. At launch, players will have access to 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Even though the game will be in early access, the developers assure that it will feature impressive physics, controls, and realistic car behavior.

One of the standout features of Assetto Corsa EVO is the free-ride mode, allowing players to explore at their leisure. A major update planned for the summer of 2025 will introduce roads around the renowned Nürburgring track. This fully laser-scanned open world will span up to 1600 square kilometers and will be expanded gradually, providing an immersive experience.

Assetto Corsa EVO aims to be the pinnacle of car simulators, ready to challenge industry giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport. It boasts photorealistic graphics and advanced physics to deliver an unparalleled driving experience. At its debut, the game is set to include 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with more to be added through future free updates. Each circuit will meticulously replicate real-world conditions, including rolling tires and wet pavement, and feature animated spectators to enhance the realism.

The developers have also focused on enhancing the dynamics of the automobiles, including suspension damping and shock absorption. The Driving Academy mode will be available at launch, offering the aforementioned tracks which players must complete within a specific time frame. This mode, a key single-player feature in Early Access, aims to help players earn a license that grants access to the game's best cars.
