Atakhan is the exciting new neutral objective in League of Legends, joining the ranks of epic monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elemental Dragons. Dubbed the 'Bringer of Ruin', Atakhan makes his grand entrance during the Noxus Invasion in Season 1 of 2025. What makes Atakhan truly unique is that his spawn location and form are influenced by in-game actions, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to every match.

These dynamic variables ensure that each game remains fresh and unpredictable, requiring teams to adapt their strategies based on Atakhan's presence and the overall flow of the game.

When & Where Will Atakhan Spawn In League Of Legends?

Atakhan's Spawn Time

Atakhan consistently spawns at the 20-minute mark. This adjustment pushes Baron Nashor's spawn to the 25-minute mark, altering the mid to late-game dynamics significantly.

Atakhan's Pit Location

Atakhan's Pit, where the battle for this epic monster takes place, appears in the river at the 14-minute mark. However, its location is contingent on the action seen on either side of the map. If more damage and kills occur near the top lane, Atakhan's Pit will appear next to the top lane river. Conversely, if the action is concentrated near the bottom lane, it will spawn next to the bot lane river.

This gives teams a crucial 6-minute window to strategize and prepare for the fight. Atakhan's Pit features two permanent small walls, designed to intensify the skirmishes around it.

Which Form Of Atakhan Will Spawn & Why?

Atakhan's form is also determined by in-game action. In games with less champion damage and fewer kills within the first 14 minutes, the Voracious Atakhan will emerge. In contrast, high-action games, characterized by significant champion damage and kills, will summon the Ruinous Atakhan.

The key difference between these forms lies in the buffs they provide to the team that defeats them.

Voracious Atakhan's Buff In League Of Legends

Voracious Atakhan, appearing in less intense games, offers buffs that encourage the slaying team to engage in more fights:

• Each team member gains an additional 40 gold for every champion takedown, including assists, for the remainder of the game.
• Additionally, each team member receives a one-time death mitigation effect lasting 150 seconds. Upon receiving what would be a fatal blow, they enter stasis for 2 seconds before returning to base after another 3.5 seconds. The enemy who would have secured the kill instead receives 100 gold and 1 Blood Petal for their team.

Ruinous Atakhan's Buff In League Of Legends

Ruinous Atakhan, spawning in more action-packed games, grants a scaling buff that enhances the rewards from other epic monsters:

• The team gains a 25% increase in all Epic Monster rewards for the rest of the game, including stats from Dragons and other objectives previously taken.
• Each team member receives 6 Blood Petals.
• Additionally, 6 Large and 6 Small Blood Rose Plants spawn around Atakhan's Pit, allowing the team to strategically choose who will gain additional stats by killing them.

What Are Blood Roses & Petals In League Of Legends

Blood Roses are the latest addition to the flora of the Rift, typically spawning near champion deaths and Atakhan's Pit, as well as after the defeat of Ruinous Atakhan. By attacking these plants, champions can collect permanent Blood Petals, which provide the following benefits:

• 25 XP, with the potential to increase by up to 100% for players with a low K/D/A ratio.
• 1 Adaptive Force, which adapts into either Attack Damage (AD) or Ability Power (AP).

There are two sizes of Blood Roses:

• Small Blood Roses grant 1 Blood Petal.
• Large Blood Roses grant 3 Blood Petals.
