Atomic Heart Hits 10M Players, Confirms New DLC

by Daniel Aug 05,2026

Atomic Heart has surpassed 10 million players, two years following its initial 2023 launch.

Although this figure reflects the number of players rather than copies sold, it remains a remarkable milestone.

Available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, developer Mundfish described Atomic Heart as a title that "took the world by storm as a standout AAA debut from a previously unknown studio," establishing "a new benchmark for visual and cinematic excellence in first-person shooters." The game also received more than 60 "best of the year" awards and has since launched three narrative-focused DLC expansions, with another currently "in development."

Released in February 2023, Atomic Heart is a first-person adventure shooter set in an alternate-reality version of "the Soviet Union at the peak of its power." We were highly impressed with the game, awarding it an 8/10 in our review and noting: "Atomic Heart is a wildly imaginative, atompunk-inspired effort to carry on the legacy of games like BioShock. While it occasionally stumbles, it clearly possesses the ambition and heart to compete with much larger productions."

The studio is now introducing Mundfish Powerhouse, a dedicated support service designed to help fellow developers and investors bring "exceptional projects to the market."
