Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

by Olivia May 12,2025

After months of swirling rumors and leaks, it appears that Bethesda is on the brink of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is slated for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can catch the reveal live on both YouTube and Twitch.

Bethesda teased the announcement on their official Twitter account, cleverly hinting at what's to come with a prominent "IV" centered in the image and a background strikingly similar to iconic Oblivion artwork. While the post didn't explicitly state the nature of the announcement, the visual cues strongly suggest that the long-rumored Oblivion remake is about to become a reality.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years. Initial whispers turned into more concrete leaks starting in 2020, when a Bethesda release schedule, revealed during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, hinted at an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the timeline had passed, suggesting the project might have been shelved, fresh leaks in January of this year painted a different picture. These leaks indicated that Bethesda, with assistance from Virtuos, was working on a full-scale remake. The speculation reached fever pitch just last week when leaks from Virtuos' website emerged, showcasing images of the Oblivion remake in development.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is set to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to a Deluxe Edition, complete with the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard version.

Tune in tomorrow for what promises to be a historic announcement, where Bethesda is expected to confirm these details and share more about the eagerly awaited remake of this classic RPG.
