by George Apr 18,2025

Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in games such as The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and many more, was discovered in a critical condition in his hotel room last week. His family is now reaching out to fans for support during this challenging time.

As reported by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, along with other family members, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses and support the family while he is unable to work. The campaign shared that Johnson is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.

Johnson had committed to hosting a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22. After traveling to the event and checking into his hotel, concerns arose when he did not appear at the event. His wife, Kim, made numerous attempts to contact him, leading to hotel security entering his room and finding him unconscious and barely alive. Emergency medical technicians struggled to find a pulse upon arriving at the scene.

The GoFundMe page, which initially aimed to raise $50,000, has seen an overwhelming response from the community, surpassing its goal nearly three times over. To date, $144,791 has been raised through the contributions of 2,200 supporters. Beyond his video game roles, Johnson has served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has appeared in various film and television projects.

In the gaming world, Johnson's voice has brought to life numerous memorable characters, primarily in Bethesda titles. His most recent role was as Ron Hope in Starfield. He has also voiced the Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Fawkes and Mister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among others.
