Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based survival mode with a brand-new Zombies map, marking the fifth addition to the game. A sneak peek was shared via the official Call of Duty X (formerly Twitter) account and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio’s X (formerly Twitter). The post, dated March 12, 2025, showcases an image of a grand mansion showing signs of battle, including visible damage on its walls, flaming wreckage of an army car, dark puffs of black smoke, and fire erupting from within.

The caption accompanying the image reads, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" alongside a "#Zombies" hashtag. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a well-known character in the series with a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War, is set to return in Black Ops 6, which is a remake of the previous title.

Sharp-eyed fans have identified the map as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated on the teaser image. This timeline aligns perfectly with the narrative from the last Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the story.

An intriguing aspect of this new map is the absence of Amalgam enemies, as confirmed by Treyarch on their Instagram account. In response to a fan's comment about anticipating the challenge of facing "20 amalgams on this map too," the developers simply stated, "Nope." Amalgams, known for their high health points and powerful attacks, are typically elite enemies. Their exclusion from this map promises a potentially smoother gameplay experience for players.
