Blizzard Unveils WoW Housing Details

World of Warcraft's highly anticipated housing system is slated for a 2025 release, with Blizzard unveiling initial details. The developers assure players that homes will be accessible to everyone, regardless of subscription status, and won't involve complicated acquisition processes like high costs or lotteries. This feature is set to debut with the Midnight expansion.

Initially, players can select a plot in one of two distinct zones: an Alliance zone (Elwynn Forest, incorporating elements from Westfall and Duskwood) or a Horde zone (Durotar, featuring aspects of Azshara and the Durotar coastline).

Each zone is further divided into districts, each hosting approximately 50 homes. Players have the option of residing in open areas or establishing private communities with friends and guild members. Extensive customization options are promised, with most decorations obtainable in-game, while others will be available through the in-game shop.

Blizzard highlights three core principles guiding the housing system's design: extensive customization, robust social interaction, and enduring longevity. Further details are promised in the future, and player feedback is currently being sought.
