Surprisingly affordable at $39.99, this price point might be attributed to the fact that the physical copy comes as a "game-key card," more on that below.
Note: This is a Game-Key Card
Some Nintendo Switch 2 games are available on cards that hold the full game data. However, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster uses a game-key card. These cards resemble Switch 2 cartridges but do not contain the game itself. Instead, you must insert the card into your Nintendo Switch 2 and download the 11GB game from the eShop.
You can still share the game with friends or sell it using the physical card, but playing it requires inserting the game-key card into your Switch 2.
What is Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster?
Originally released on the 3DS, Bravely Default was a nostalgic RPG with turn-based combat, focusing on a group of heroes on a quest to find four crystals. Its standout feature is the innovative combat system, allowing players to accumulate turns for multiple actions. The game also includes a robust job system, enabling customization of your party members' abilities. The HD remaster retains these core elements and introduces new features. Players can now fast forward through battles and cut scenes, adjust encounter rates to suit their play style, and enjoy an online mode along with new minigames.
