Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Developer Working on New Feature to Track Challenges

Treyarch is developing a highly anticipated in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, absent from the initial release despite its presence in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, is currently under development. While a release date remains unannounced, its arrival is expected soon, potentially coinciding with the upcoming Season 2 update later this month.

A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes in Black Ops 6's multiplayer and zombies modes, including UI and audio improvements, and an XP boost for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Significantly, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from the January 3rd update, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following player feedback.

Challenge Tracker Confirmed

Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding to a player request. The feature's inclusion is highly sought after, particularly by players pursuing Mastery camos. The functionality is expected to mirror Modern Warfare 3, providing a real-time in-game challenge tracker accessible via the UI, allowing players to monitor their progress without leaving the match.

Additional Improvements on the Horizon

Treyarch also confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, addressing another player request for improved customization. This feature is also "in the works," indicating a commitment to enhancing the overall player experience.
