Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Fans Set for January 28 Feast

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Arrives January 28th

Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. This marks the end of Season 1, a 75-day run that makes it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.

While specifics on Season 2's content remain under wraps, Treyarch promises a substantial update for both Black Ops 6 and the free-to-play Warzone. The anticipation is high, particularly given the recent player decline in Black Ops 6, attributed to issues like cheating in Ranked Play and persistent server problems. The hope is that the new season will revitalize the game's player base.

Season 2 Launch Date Confirmed

The Season 2 launch date was revealed in a recent update addressing Zombies mode issues. While some fixes were delayed, Treyarch confirmed the January 28th release alongside the news. A detailed blog post outlining the new season's features is expected soon.

Season 1 delivered a massive content drop, introducing new multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and events, alongside a significant overhaul of Warzone. The integration of Black Ops 6 into Warzone brought a new movement system, weapons, gameplay updates, and the Area-99 Resurgence map. The season also saw the return of beloved maps like Nuketown and Hacienda.

Classic Map Remasters Teased

While the Season 2 content is still secret, Treyarch has hinted at more classic map remasters. Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie previously stated that no Black Ops map is ruled out for a remaster, although original maps remain a priority.
