Pokémon Go enthusiasts, get ready for the February Community Day on February 9th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event is set to spotlight two intriguing Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet. You'll have a golden opportunity to encounter these Pokémon more frequently in the wild, and with a bit of luck, you might even catch their Shiny variants.

Who Are the New Pokémon in the Pokémon Go February Community Day?

Karrablast and Shelmet are the stars of this event. During the Community Day, these Pokémon will appear more often, making it the perfect time to expand your collection. The highlight of the event is the evolution perk: evolve Karrablast during the event or up until February 16th at 10:00 p.m. local time, and you'll get an Escavalier that knows the Charged Attack Razor Shell. This move boasts a power of 35 in Trainer Battles and 55 in Gyms and Raids. Similarly, evolving Shelmet within the same timeframe will grant you an Accelgor equipped with the Charged Attack Energy Ball, delivering a robust 90 power in both Trainer Battles and Gyms and Raids.

Engage with the Special Research to encounter Karrablast and Shelmet against special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, earn a Premium Battle Pass, and secure a Rare Candy XL. Additionally, a Timed Research event will extend for a week post-Community Day, offering more chances to encounter these Pokémon with the unique backgrounds upon logging in and completing tasks.

Don’t Forget the Bonuses

The February Community Day is packed with exciting bonuses to enhance your gameplay. You'll earn 3× XP for catching Pokémon, double the usual Candy, and if you're level 31 or above, a 2× chance to receive Candy XL from catches. Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours, and there's a delightful surprise awaiting those who take photos during the event.
