Civ 7 Ghandi DLC Might Be Coming After All

Firaxis Games hasn't ruled out the possibility of Gandhi's return to Civilization VII, hinting at a potential DLC release. This follows an IGN interview with lead designer Ed Beach on February 13, 2025, addressing the absence of several familiar civilizations and leaders from the base game.

Beach clarified that the omission of leaders like Gandhi and civilizations such as Great Britain wasn't due to oversight. Instead, the sheer number of popular choices necessitated some exclusions to allow for the inclusion of fresh, exciting additions. He confirmed that Firaxis is considering the long-term addition of these omitted leaders and civilizations, leaving open the possibility of Gandhi's return as DLC.

Given the extensive DLC history of Civilization VI, Gandhi's eventual inclusion in Civ VII seems likely, although the specific release date remains undetermined.
