Code Geass Mobile Game Draws to a Close
The mobile strategy tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global run. While the Japanese version will continue, the global servers are shutting down on August 29th, 2024. This means no new downloads, purchases, or logins will be possible after that date. The game's global social media presence will also cease on the same day.
Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, the game launched globally in September 2023, falling short of its first anniversary. While the developers haven't publicly stated the reasons for closure, low download numbers and generally unfavorable global reviews likely contributed to the decision. Many licensed anime gacha games struggle to maintain a player base outside Japan due to lower spending habits in other regions.
The Japanese version, however, remains available on the Google Play Store. If you're a Japanese player and haven't experienced the game yet, now's your chance.
