Crafting Artian Weapons Guide for Monster Hunter Wilds

by Christopher May 07,2025

If you're diving into the world of *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll want to get familiar with Artian weapons, a new feature that lets you craft custom weapons with tailored stats and elements. This is a late-game feature, so let's explore everything you need to know about unlocking and crafting these powerful tools.

How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Artian Weapons Crafting in Monster Hunter Wilds

To unlock Artian weapons, you first need to complete the game's story and reach High Rank. Continue playing until you encounter and defeat your first Tempered monster. You'll recognize this monster by the comments from NPCs about its toughness and scars.

After defeating this formidable foe, Gemma will approach you to discuss Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial on the subject. Gemma will then be able to craft these weapons for you. Each weapon type requires three components, and you must have at least one of each component type to craft a weapon. However, the crafting system is more intricate than it seems.

Each component has a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, the components must have the same rarity value. The weapon's elemental effect is determined by the majority element among the components. For example, using two water and one lightning component results in a water weapon. Using three water components enhances the water infusion, but using three different elements will result in no elemental infusion.

The Artian bonus provides either an attack boost, which increases the weapon's damage output, or an affinity boost, which improves your critical hit chance. You can choose which bonus suits your playstyle best. To craft these weapons, you'll need to gather Artian materials.

How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds

Acquiring Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. After defeating your first Tempered monster, you'll start encountering one or two in each area, marked by a blue outline on your map and notifications about their presence.

By defeating or capturing these Tempered monsters, you'll receive Artian parts alongside other rewards like decorations. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also increase, naturally progressing with your gameplay. While there's no direct link between the monster you hunt and the types of Artian drops, you can focus on hunting monsters you enjoy or need parts from for other equipment. Keep farming these monsters to gather the materials you need to craft your perfect Artian weapon.
