Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Exploring New Frontiers with Mongols and Asia

Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting roadmap for Crusader Kings III's Chapter IV, set to roll out throughout 2025 with a focus on expanding the game's scope into Asia. This chapter promises fresh mechanics and new regions that will enrich the gaming experience.

The journey begins with the recently launched cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This sleek pack enhances ruler personalization by offering six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, allowing players to tailor their monarchs' appearances to their heart's content.

Next up, on April 28, the much-anticipated Khans of the Steppe DLC will make its debut. This expansion lets players take the reins as the Great Khan of the Mongols, leading a nomadic horde across the map to conquer and dominate neighboring lands. It's your chance to relive the Mongol Empire's glory days.

Later in the year, during Q3 (July–September), Coronations will introduce a new ceremonial mechanic. This feature allows players to solidify their rule through majestic coronation events. These ceremonies will not only be lavish festivities but also involve making crucial vows and shaping the future of your kingdom. Additional advisor and vassal events will further enrich political gameplay, adding layers of depth to royal succession.

The chapter culminates with the release of All Under Heaven, a colossal expansion set to launch later in 2025. This DLC will unveil the entire East Asian map, featuring meticulously crafted regions of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have expansive new territories to explore and conquer, opening up a world of possibilities.

Between these major releases, Paradox Interactive will continue to enhance the game with patches that refine game systems and AI behavior. The developers are keen on incorporating player feedback into future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26.
