Set in Night City, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners - Madness Volume 1 promises intense chaos and carnage as the siblings fight to survive a world overrun by greed and corruption, until an enigmatic figure disrupts their plans.

The series is scripted by Bartosz Sztybor, screenwriter for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, with illustrations by Asano, renowned for his work on the BNA: Brand New Animal adaptation.

Set within CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077 universe, the original series was a monumental hit for Netflix and Studio Trigger, leading to the development of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, with Trigger once again at the helm.

The show's cultural footprint remains strong. Nick Dragotta, character designer and artist behind the Absolute Batman comic line, recently expressed his desire for Studio Trigger to adapt Western comics into anime—highlighting how effectively Edgerunners has bridged Eastern and Western narrative traditions.
