"Dawnwalker Director Leaves CDPR to Start Own Studio"
After the releases of *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, not all the experts at CD Projekt RED remained with the company. Some chose to venture into new projects, like *The Blood of Dawnwalker*. This game has been recently unveiled by Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by a CD Projekt RED veteran, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz.
Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz shared his reasons for leaving CDPR. His main points include:
"I wanted to embark on a new journey with my friends, leading to the creation of Rebel Wolves. We have a deep passion for role-playing games and their rich histories. However, I believe there's room to innovate and expand on these RPG conventions. We've brainstormed some truly groundbreaking ideas. Convincing a large corporation to embrace such novel changes, especially with brand-new intellectual property, is challenging. We realized that to bring our vision to life, we needed to establish our own studio. Working on these innovative solutions is inherently risky. In contrast to large studios, where processes can be more cumbersome, we prioritize direct communication and relationships among our team members at Rebel Wolves. A smaller team, in my opinion, is more agile because it fosters better communication and makes discussing our vision easier. It's simpler to ignite that 'creative fire' and produce something truly unique."
