How To Beat Congalala in Monster Hunter Wilds

Facing the Congalala requires constant movement due to its size and agility. Avoid positioning directly in front or behind it, as these are prime spots for its breath attacks. The beast uses powerful smashes, tail whips, and ranged breath attacks, making positioning crucial.
Target its breakable parts for increased damage. Start with the forelegs, as they offer the most opportunities for attack when the Congalala is momentarily vulnerable. For the head, tail, and rear, wait for the beast to consume a mushroom, then strike when it's about to spew gas. If caught in its fumes, use deodorant or roll through water to cleanse the effects.
Leverage the wounds you cause by using Focus Mode and Focus Strikes to deliver heavy damage and halt its attacks. This strategy is especially effective against its breath and ground-smashing moves.
