Phase 1

The spectral whispers haunting Khazan take form as the Blade Phantom in the Trials of the Frozen Mountain on Stormpass. This formidable enemy tests your stamina and aggression with relentless strikes. As the first multi-phase boss, it demands strategic precision.
The battle unfolds in a castle with floors awash in crimson liquid. The Blade Phantom typically unleashes these attacks:
Six-hit combo of four punches and two kicks, with the second kick delayed Three-hit combo of two punches and a downward kick Four-hit combo starting with a right hook, followed by two kicks and a leaping kick smash Three-hit combo with rapid punches, ending in a grab you must evadeBeyond melee, the Blade Phantom in The First Berserker: Khazan summons a massive hammer, slamming it down to spawn red spikes ahead. If it wields a spear, brace for a swift throw followed by a teleporting smash. When armed with a blade, expect a rapid six-hit combo. The boss may also vanish, darting across the battlefield before striking.
Master the timing of these attacks, parrying or dodging to create openings for counterattacks. Deplete its stamina for a Brutal Attack opportunity. Continue until its health drops by half, triggering the second phase.

Phase 2

The Blade Phantom opens this phase with four claw swipes, followed by a spear throw from above. Once the spear lands, dodge the impact zone and prepare for a leaping swipe. This is followed by three greatsword slashes and a crushing hammer strike.
In addition to claw attacks, the Blade Phantom in The First Berserker: Khazan repeats many first-phase moves but adds a spear thrust and four to six rapid dual-wielding strikes. It teleports more often, and with the greatsword, beware of multiple slashes culminating in a Burst Attack, marked by a red P-like symbol. Counter this with a Counterattack (L1/LB + Circle/B) to restore stamina and expose the boss for further damage.
Capitalize on stamina depletion to land Brutal Attacks, timing them just before the window closes to maximize damage. Victory yields 8,640 Lacrima, Soul Eater gear, a Shieldsman’s Ring, and Netherworld Mineral for crafting.
