"Defeating the Eye Monster (Peeper) in R.E.P.O.: A Guide"
In the thrilling world of *R.E.P.O.*, navigating through 19 unique monster types is part of the challenge that keeps players engaged and alert. Among these, the Eye Monster, known as the Peeper, presents a unique obstacle. Here’s a detailed guide on how to effectively defeat the Peeper in *R.E.P.O.*.
How to Beat the Eye Monster (Peeper) in R.E.P.O.
The Peeper, a ceiling-dwelling adversary, is notoriously difficult to detect. This giant eyeball camouflages itself by staying closed until you unwittingly enter its vicinity. It can spawn in any random location on the map, making it a surprise threat.

Once you're within its range, the Peeper opens its eye, locking your gaze and preventing you from looking away. This hypnotic stare inflicts 2 points of damage to your HP every second the connection persists. While the Peeper falls into the lowest tier of danger, its disorienting effect can be perilous, especially when combined with the presence of other enemies.
When trapped in the Peeper's gaze, your perspective zooms in on the eyeball, complicating navigation and escape. To counteract this, always remain vigilant and prepared for the Peeper to appear anywhere. Strategize a clear escape route, such as moving around a corner or through a doorway. If possible, closing the door can sever the Peeper's line of sight. Teamwork can simplify this task; a teammate can quickly shut the door for you, breaking the Peeper's hold.

To defeat the Peeper, you'll need to use the 'Gun', available for purchase at the Service Station for approximately $47K. It may require several shots to bring this monster down. Although challenging to aim while under the Peeper's influence, it's feasible with composure. As with many challenges in *R.E.P.O.*, collaborating with another player can significantly ease the task.
With this strategy in hand, you're now better equipped to handle the Peeper. For more tips and strategies to survive in *R.E.P.O.*, explore our other guides.
