Digimon's New Mobile TCG Digimon Alysion Is In Development

Bandai Namco unveiled Digimon Alysion, a new mobile trading card game, during the DIGIMON CON 2025 Livestream on March 20. Inspired by the success of other mobile TCGs like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap, Digimon Alysion aims to broaden its TCG community by entering the mobile gaming arena.

This free-to-play digital card game allows players to collect cards featuring various Digimon and characters from the franchise, build their decks, and engage in battles with other players. What sets Digimon Alysion apart is its inclusion of a comprehensive story mode, enhancing the gaming experience beyond traditional and competitive play.

DIGIMON CON 2025 also shed light on Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Producer Ryosuke Hara provided insights into the game's background, its main characters, and the unique abilities of some Digimon featured in the game.

Hara confirmed that players will start their journey with one of three popular Digimon from the original Digimon Adventure anime: Patamon, Gomamon, or DemiDevimon. These choices align with fan speculations based on the game's promotional artwork.

With over 450 Digimon included, Time Stranger boasts the largest roster in the series, surpassing its predecessor, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory, which featured 330 Digimon. The new trailer highlighted notable Digimon such as Angewomon, Gallantmon, and the beloved Agumon.
