Disco Elysium Mobile Version Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Users with Fun, Portable Play

by Jason May 05,2025

Following the buzz around their new game, Project C4, ZA/UM has exciting news for fans of their critically acclaimed title, *Disco Elysium*. They've announced an exclusive mobile version of the game, tailored for Android devices. ZA/UM's vision for this mobile adaptation is clear: to introduce *Disco Elysium* to a fresh audience while offering a convenient, on-the-go experience for existing fans. To make this happen, they're rolling out the first two chapters for free, with the option to purchase the full, ad-free game thereafter.

ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, allowing players to make an informed decision about their purchase. "Today's ZA/UM studio is a blend of creators and custodians of the *Disco Elysium* IP. We take our dual roles very seriously, and this is reflected in the mobile experience we're crafting," they stated.

Studio head Denis Havel shared an ambitious goal for the mobile version, aiming to capture the attention of the TikTok crowd. "We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment," Havel explained.

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM unveiled a debut trailer and a series of screenshots showcasing the game's new features. These include 360-degree scenes designed to immerse mobile users directly into the heart of Revachol, and brand new audio with full voiceover to enrich the character experience.

This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today's mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," emphasizing its design for short, engaging bursts of play.

*Disco Elysium* is set to hit mobile devices via Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note, however, that while the studio name remains the same, the team behind this mobile version differs significantly from the original *Disco Elysium* team. Numerous former ZA/UM members have since left the studio, with some now working on spiritual successors to the game.
