Embark on a thrilling adventure through Eora's perilous Living Lands with the aid of four unique Companions in Avowed. Each Companion boasts a distinct personality and a customizable skillset. Let's explore each one:

Kai: Encountered early in Dawnshore, Kai, a formidable ex-mercenary with a hidden softer side, is your first true Companion. He serves as a tank, excelling at both damage absorption and dealing significant blows. His fire abilities prove invaluable in clearing obstacles and uncovering hidden treasures.

Kai's upgradable Abilities:

• Fire and Ire (Active): A powerful blunderbuss shot, stunning and taunting a single enemy.
• Unbending Defense (Active): Regenerates health and boosts damage reduction.
• Leap of Daring (Active): A powerful leap, stunning and taunting nearby enemies.
• Second Win (Passive): Revives with 50% health upon reaching zero.

Marius: Found in Dawnshore, Marius shares a history with Kai. A skilled hunter and tracker, his abilities reflect this expertise. His Hunter Sense aids in locating loot and crafting materials, while his combat prowess utilizes bow, daggers, and nature-based traps.

Marius' upgradable Abilities:

• Binding Roots (Active): Roots an enemy in place.
• Heart Seeker (Active): A piercing shot that ignores obstacles.
• Shadow Step (Active): Vanishes and reappears to attack an enemy (up to 3 times).
• Wounding Shots (Passive): Attacks inflict bleeding.

Giatta: Recruited later in the Emerald Stair region, Giatta is an animancer whose magic plays a crucial role in the main quest. She provides support in combat, healing, shielding, and buffing allies. Her Spectral Jolt ability activates Essence Generators to reveal hidden paths.

Giatta's upgradable Abilities:

• Purification (Active): Heals all allies.

Yatzli: The final Companion, found in Thirdborn (Shatterscarp region), Yatzli is a damage-dealing magic user. Her spells excel at both single-target and area-of-effect damage, and she can also clear environmental obstacles.

Yatzli's upgradable Abilities:

• Essence Explosion (Active): Explosive arcane damage.
• Minoletta’s Missile Battery (Active): A volley of homing arcane missiles.
