Disney Mirrorverse To End Service Soon

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024. The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months of gameplay remaining before the servers are permanently closed.

A Short Lived Adventure?

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse initially generated considerable excitement among Disney fans. However, a lengthy beta period and inconsistent content updates ultimately hindered player retention. The game's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant time investment or in-game purchases to fully develop characters, also contributed to its decline. Despite these shortcomings, the game's character designs were widely praised for their creativity and visual appeal.

A Sudden Farewell

The EOS announcement is particularly surprising given the recent release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just one week prior. This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.

The unexpected closure leaves many players disappointed. What are your thoughts on the Disney Mirrorverse EOS? Share your comments below. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Zombies In Conflict Of Nations: World War 3 Season 15!
