DLSS 4 Revolutionizes Gaming with Multi-Frame Generation
Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025
Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote showcased the RTX 50 series GPUs, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation, boosting FPS significantly in 75 supported games. Initially exclusive to the RTX 50 series, this enhancement will be rolled out to older RTX 40 series cards via driver updates, including Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA.
The RTX 50 series, codenamed Blackwell, builds upon the Ada Lovelace architecture with substantial improvements to DLSS. Multi-Frame Generation promises a dramatic FPS increase compared to its predecessor. The flagship model, the RTX 5090, boasts 32GB of GDDR7 memory and a starting price of $1,999. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549).
Nvidia highlighted the performance gains with Cyberpunk 2077 as an example, showcasing a jump from under 30 FPS (with ray tracing and DLSS/MFG off) to an impressive 236 FPS (with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation enabled) on the RTX 5090.
