Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, Sandlord, has officially launched, marking the game's most expansive season to date. This season introduces a host of new features that significantly alter the gameplay dynamics, challenging players to construct a floating empire in the sky.

What’s in Store in Torchlight: Infinite’s Eighth Season Sandlord?

The centerpiece of Sandlord season is the Cloud Oasis, a city that players manage. You'll gather resources from the Netherrealm and convert them into tangible benefits by assigning workers to five distinct professions. This system unlocks new trade routes, bonuses, and seasonal rewards, blending the thrill of ARPG combat with the depth of a strategy simulation.

The character Thea has undergone a dark transformation from a divine channeler to the Blasphemer. She now inflicts desecration instead of blessings, applying Erosion Damage that intensifies over time.

The Deep Space region has been revamped, featuring five new stages teeming with monsters and survival challenges. A new item, Probes, similar to Compasses, occupies its own slot and boosts both rewards and difficulty levels.

The endgame experience is enriched with new Legendary Stages. These stages are rare but highly rewarding, offering loot configurations that can alter your gameplay strategy. Some zones, like the Abyssal Vault, deviate from the norm by containing no enemies but rather numerous Mystery Chests waiting to be opened.

In contrast, the Sea of Rites introduces a non-hostile goblin swarm. Eliminating them could trigger the appearance of a secret boss. The Supreme Showdown stage lets both players and bosses utilize the Golden Gaze mechanic, allowing players to convert enemies into treasure with the right hit.
