DOOM: The Dark Ages Release Date Leaked
It seems that the excitement around the upcoming Developer_Direct is reaching a fever pitch, but it looks like some of the suspense might have been spoiled a bit early. Just two days before the big reveal, a major French gaming site, Gamekult, accidentally let slip what could be the release date for the highly anticipated DOOM: The Dark Ages. They posted an article prematurely, announcing that the game is set to launch on May 15. Although the article was swiftly removed, eagle-eyed fans caught the news via the site's RSS feed.

This isn't the first hint we've had about the release window. Insider NateTheHate previously mentioned that DOOM: The Dark Ages was expected to hit the shelves this May, corroborating the leaked date from Gamekult. With two independent sources pointing to the same timeframe, it seems increasingly likely that fans won't have to wait much longer to dive into this new chapter.
Microsoft is set to officially unveil DOOM: The Dark Ages during its Developer_Direct presentation this Thursday. This prequel to the modern DOOM series promises to take players back to a medieval setting, yet it retains the core essence of the franchise: the exhilarating and brutal combat against the forces of Hell.
