Netflix is developing a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series based on the Forgotten Realms setting, according to Deadline. The project, one of Netflix's largest fantasy TV investments, is spearheaded by Shawn Levy (director of Deadpool and Wolverine), writer-showrunner Drew Crevello (WeCrashed), and Hasbro. While Netflix and Hasbro haven't officially confirmed the news, Deadline reports that the pilot script is complete and the series is moving forward in development. Success could lead to a larger D&D universe on the platform.
