Exploring Dynasty Warriors: Origins' overworld offers valuable rewards for future battles. While Pyroxene farming yields gems, you'll also discover Old Coins, whose purpose isn't immediately apparent.

Several methods exist for acquiring Old Coins, and you'll accumulate a substantial number (hundreds) throughout the game. Here's their use and how to obtain them.

What To Use Old Coins For In Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Old Coins are unusable in Chapter 1; focus on the main story. After starting Chapter 2, complete these main story battles:

• Suppression of You Province
• Suppression of Jing Province
• Suppression of Liang Province

Completing these battles leads you back to Ji, where you'll meet Sima Hui. Following the conversation and obtaining incense for the Innkeeper, the Shui Jing Retreat appears on the overworld map near Ji. Here, you can exchange Old Coins with Sima Hui. You can also manage bonds and review past interactions.

• Overworld exploration.
• Bond interactions with companions and officers.
• Letters found in the Inn after story events.
• Regional Peace rewards from Waypoints.

Overworld Old Coins are represented by small, close-range icons, unlike Pyroxene. The rewards vary in utility; focus on gameplay, and the coins will accumulate naturally.
