Dynasty Warriors: Origins Gem Guide

Quick Links

Boosting your character in Dynasty Warriors: Origins just got easier. Gems offer passive buffs, significantly aiding your progress, especially on harder difficulties. Crafting and upgrading these gems involves a degree of randomness, but this guide will walk you through the process and offer tips for maximizing your results.

How To Craft & Level Up Gems In Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Gem crafting utilizes Pyroxene and is accessible at any inn or tent. In your room, select "Create Gems" (the second option from the top). You can use any number of Pyroxene, with a one-to-one conversion rate for gem creation. Five unique gems are craftable, and each Pyroxene has an equal chance of yielding any of them.

Initially crafted gems are level 1 and equippable via the Battle Preparations menu. Crafting duplicates of a gem grants experience, leveling it up and increasing its effectiveness. For a broad approach, use all your Pyroxene at once to create and level multiple gems randomly.

However, if you prefer specific gems, utilize the "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" effect. Crafting a single gem sometimes triggers this effect, randomly selecting three gems for subsequent crafting attempts. Exit and re-enter the crafting menu to cancel this effect if it doesn't select your desired gems. While crafting one gem at a time is slower, it allows you to strategically trigger "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" to focus on a specific gem. Keep in mind that even with "Eyes of the Sacred Bird," some randomness remains.

Here's a list of craftable gems and their effects:

Gem NamePassive BoostOblivion GemExpands attack range.Vortex GemBoosts damage to airborne enemies.Scorch GemBoosts damage against parried enemies.Wellspring GemRestores health for every 100 enemies defeated.Ascendance GemChance to automatically block an enemy officer's attack.

Where To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Pyroxene appears as orange crystals scattered throughout the overworld. Collecting a crystal yields one Pyroxene, after which the crystal disappears. Pyroxene respawns after skirmishes and battles, encouraging exploration of previously visited areas. You may also occasionally receive Pyroxene via letters found in your inn or tent room.
