Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-Ups Open January 10th (PS5 & Xbox Series X/S Only)

The first network test for Elden Ring Nightreign begins accepting registrations on January 10th, 2025. However, this initial beta will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. Targeted for a 2025 release, the game will undergo at least one network test before launch.

This limited-time beta opens Friday, January 10th. Interested players can register via the official website. While the number of available spots remains undisclosed, participation is expected to be limited.

How to Register for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test:

1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
2. Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
3. Await a confirmation email (arriving no later than February 2025).
4. Participate in the test during February 2025 (exact dates to be announced).

Platform Limitations and Other Details:

This initial test notably excludes PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players. FromSoftware has confirmed no cross-platform multiplayer will be featured in the final game or the beta. Similarly, progress made during the network test likely won't transfer to the full release. Further betas may be planned, though this hasn't been confirmed.

The game itself will support solo play and three-player parties only; FromSoftware has opted against balancing for two-player groups. Whether the network test will include additional gameplay limitations remains to be seen.
