A dataminer has recently unveiled the surprisingly detailed character models hidden beneath their intimidating armor, revealing unexpected nuances and fascinating details. While some models are relatively simple, others boast unique features that deeply connect with the game's rich lore.

Elden Ring's intricate lore is a major draw for players, alongside its challenging gameplay. Previous datamining efforts revealed the model beneath the Divine Beast Dancing Lion boss's armor. This latest work expands on that, examining several more NPCs from the expansion.

In a recent video, YouTuber and dataminer Zullie the Witch showcased these Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree NPCs without their armor. The level of detail FromSoftware included, even in unseen areas, is remarkable. Fans have been captivated by the revealed appearances, particularly Moore's, with many commenting that it perfectly matched their imagined version.

Detailed NPC Models Impress Elden Ring Fans

Redmane Freyja's model stands out, displaying facial scarring consistent with Scarlet Rot—a detail players wouldn't normally see. This thoughtful touch perfectly complements her in-game backstory. Interestingly, Tanith from Volcano Manor bears a strong resemblance to the Dancer of Ranah, a fitting detail considering Tanith's past as a dancer.

However, some aspects are unexpected. Hornsent, for example, lacks horns in the model. The dataminer suggests this omission might be due to the need for a completely new model. Fans have countered that the DLC should have included horn customization options alongside the new hairstyles.
