How to Defeat All Monsters in E.R.P.O.

With E.R.P.O. regularly adding new creatures, we recommend bookmarking this page for future updates. Below you'll find specific tactics for current monsters. While each has designated strategies, players can also utilize these offensive approaches:

  • Melee Combat: Available weapons range from Machetes to Hammers, purchasable for 10k-20k in-game currency. These spawn in subsequent levels - press M1 to equip and swing at enemies. Exercise caution against ranged attackers like the Huntsman. Adopt hit-and-run tactics to minimize damage exposure, and always carry medical supplies for melee engagements.
  • Explosives Tactics: Acquire Grenades and Mines from the shop. Activate grenades by pressing E after equipping (M1), then throw or position them strategically. Mines require placement in monster paths. Both deal significant damage, potentially eliminating weaker foes or severely wounding resilient ones.
  • Monster Manipulation: Bait a Huntsman into attacking other creatures by positioning yourself behind them while making noise through movement or voice chat. Similarly, time Reaper encounters to exploit their attack animations, causing mutual damage between enemies.

Now explore individual monster counter-strategies:

Robe (Ghost)

This shadowy entity requires constant evasion - physical contact results in immediate damage. Crouch to break line of sight or maintain distance while circling. Elimination requires two grenades or mines. Avoid melee engagements due to its high damage output. Note: Robe teleports unpredictably and accelerates when you observe its mask.

Reaper

This fabric monstrosity wields spinning bladed arms for melee attacks. Unlike Robe, it cannot teleport, making kiting more effective. Melee weapons prove viable here - one grenade plus 1-2 melee strikes typically eliminate it. Explosives also temporarily stun Reapers, creating attack opportunities.

Apex Predator (Duck)

These seemingly harmless ducks remain passive unless provoked through physical contact or environmental damage. When enraged, they relentlessly pursue while delivering weak aerial bites. While escape remains possible, melee weapons efficiently dispatch them. Grenades work but constitute excessive force given their low health pool.

Huntsman

This blind gunman instantly kills with perfect accuracy. He detects players through microphone input (voice chat) or fast movement near him. Crouch (C) and utilize cover for stealth approaches. Avoid direct melee due to his auto-aim. Strategic mine placement or precisely-timed grenades create 6-second deafness windows for safe melee attacks.
