"Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide"
In the thrilling co-op horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your mission is straightforward yet perilous: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of monsters that spawn randomly across various locations. The ultimate thrill comes from escaping with your loot intact, where you're rewarded generously by the game and the menacing AI Taxman, allowing you to stock up on crucial survival gear with your hard-earned cash.
The key to success in *R.E.P.O.* lies in securing the removal of these valuable items and reaching the Extraction Point, where your C.A.R.T. of treasures is assessed, and the Taxman lets you proceed to the Service Station—hopefully with a hefty sum to spend.
As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes an integral part of your gameplay, evolving from a daunting task into a routine as you master levels and confront increasingly formidable monsters.
How to Extract in R.E.P.O.
During your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter a single Extraction Point. However, as you progress to new locations, the number of Extraction Points increases, reaching a maximum of four. Keep an eye on the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen to track how many drop-offs you need and how many you've completed.
At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck. This starting point remains constant, ensuring you know where to return your first haul of valuables. However, subsequent extractions can be more challenging.
After your first successful drop-off, you must navigate the rest of the level as usual, without knowing the Taxman's demands or the location of the next Extraction Point. This is where your in-game map becomes invaluable. By pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, you can view unexplored areas, aiding in planning your routes and, if playing with others, allowing your team to cover more ground simultaneously.
The location of the next Extraction Point only becomes clear once you're in its vicinity, either by sight or sound. Upon locating it, press the large red button to determine if you've collected enough valuables. If you meet the requirement, place your C.A.R.T. within the designated grey area to ensure all items are safely accounted for and not at risk of destruction.
After completing an extraction, you'll either move on to the next Extraction Point by repeating these steps or focus on making it back to the truck safely. Notably, after the final Extraction Point's valuables are tallied, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T. back to the truck with you; a new one will be available at the next location or level.
