The 1960s retro-futuristic setting is evident in the TVs and overall aesthetic, even though some screens are partially obscured by onlookers.

Marvel's "launch coverage" begins at 7 AM ET on February 4th (a less-than-ideal 4 AM PT). The video description reads, "The Future Foundation invites you to take your first steps into a fantastic new era."
The film, slated for release on July 25th, 2025, boasts a stellar cast: Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Ralph Ineson portrays Galactus, with Julia Garner as Silver Surfer. The ensemble cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Matt Shakman directs, under the production of Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige.
Here's the official synopsis for The Fantastic Four: First Steps:
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
At New York Comic Con (NYCC) in October, attendees were treated to artwork showcasing several key MCU figures, including a first live-action glimpse of H.E.R.B.I.E. (Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics).
Speculation abounds among fans regarding Robert Downey Jr.'s potential return as Doctor Doom, either within The Fantastic Four: First Steps or through a teaser. Feige has confirmed the Fantastic Four's appearances in both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
