by Scarlett May 14,2025

Remedy has exciting news for gamers, announcing that FBC: Firebreak will launch on June 17, 2025. This new title is a thrilling, session-based multiplayer PvE game set in the captivating universe of Control. Players can look forward to engaging in replayable missions, dubbed "Jobs," which will challenge their teamwork and adaptability across varied objectives and environments.

Mark your calendars—FBC: Firebreak will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Excitingly, it will also be accessible on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). This marks Remedy's first venture into self-publishing.

In addition to the standard edition, Remedy unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, which will retail for $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This premium version offers an array of exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $10 / €10 / £7. Here's what you'll find in the Deluxe Edition:

  • “The Firestarter” Premium Voice Pack
  • “The Pencil Pusher” Premium Voice Pack
  • Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves)
  • Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin
  • Golden Firebreak Spray
  • Classified Requisition: “Firestarter”: A collection of 36 unlockable cosmetic items including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets

The official description of FBC: Firebreak highlights the new Requisitions system, which rewards players with gear and cosmetics simply by playing the game. Requisitions can unlock weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more, all using in-game currency earned through gameplay. There are no time-limited windows or rotating stores; every item added to the game remains perpetually available. For those seeking further customization, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items, purchasable with real money, which are strictly cosmetic and have no impact on gameplay. Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, with plans to introduce two new Jobs in 2025 and further updates in 2026. All new content, including Jobs, will be free for all players. While cosmetic items will be available for purchase, they will not affect gameplay, and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-in rewards, Remedy assures.

This announcement comes amidst a busy period for Remedy, the developer behind Alan Wake, as it juggles multiple projects including Control 2 and the Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake compilation.
