February 2025 Pokémon GO Event Calendar Unveiled

February 2025 is packed with exciting events for Pokémon GO players, featuring celebrations like the Lunar New Year and a special Community Day for Karrablast & Shelmet. Not to mention, the thrilling debut of Dynamax Moltres. Here's a detailed rundown of all the events scheduled for this month.

Lunar New Year Event: January 29 – February 2

The Lunar New Year 2025 event, running until February 2 at 08:00 PM local time, offers Pokémon GO players a festive way to celebrate the Chinese New Year. This year, themed around the Year of the Snake, you'll see an increase in spawn rates for snake-themed Pokémon. Here are the Pokémon you can encounter more frequently:

• Ekans (Shiny can be found)
• Onix (Shiny can be found)
• Snivy (Shiny can be found)
• Darumaka (Shiny can be found)
• Dunsparce (Shiny can be found)
• Gyarados (Shiny can be found)
• Dratini (Shiny can be found)

During the event, you'll also benefit from bonuses such as an increased chance of obtaining Lucky Pokémon in trades and becoming Lucky Friends with other Trainers. Daily Field Research tasks can earn you free PokéCoins. The 2KM Egg pool will feature the following Pokémon:

• Makuhita (Shiny can be hatched)
• Nosepass (Shiny can be hatched)

Legendary Flight Dynamax Moltres Event: February 3 – 9

Following the Lunar New Year, the Legendary Flight event will feature the debut of Dynamax Moltres from February 3 to 9. From 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM on February 3, Dynamax Moltres will be available as a Max Monday boss at all Power Spots. After this initial hour, you can still challenge Moltres until February 9, although it will appear at fewer Power Spots as other Pokémon like Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble join the Max Battle rotation until February 10.

Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9

On Sunday, February 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will host a dual Community Day for Karrablast & Shelmet. During these three hours, you'll have increased encounters with these Pokémon, boosting your chances to farm Candies and find Shinies. Evolve Karrablast or Shelmet by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM to get an Escavalier knowing Razor Shell or an Accelgor with Energy Ball, respectively. You can also purchase premium Timed Research for US$2.00 (or the equivalent in your local currency) to ease the grind.

Beloved Buddies: February 11 – 15

From February 11 at 10:00 AM to February 15 at 08:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will host the Beloved Buddies event. While details remain under wraps, we'll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Raid Day: February 15

The Road to Unova event, starting on February 18 at 10:00 AM and ending on March 1, sets the stage for the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour Unova: Global event. Highlights include the debut of Shiny Meloetta, Raids featuring Gen-5 Legendaries, increased spawn rates of Unovan starter Pokémon, and premium Timed Research & bonuses.
