The latest update features small icons of four out of the eight main characters on the website. Clicking these icons reveals short descriptions accompanied by new artwork from FF9’s character designer, Toshiyuki Itahana, known for his work on the Crystal Chronicles and Chocobo series. These descriptions provide insights into each character's role and aspirations within the story.

While nothing has been officially confirmed, the meticulous attention to detail in these anniversary updates suggests to fans that a significant announcement regarding an FF9 remake could be on the horizon. For now, enthusiasts eagerly await further developments.

Reservations for Garnet’s Silver Necklace are now open, with an expected release date of November 15. Priced at approximately 38,500 yen, or about $260, this necklace is a must-have for fans. Similarly, a replica of Vivi’s hat, available for reservations, is set to be released on September 6 and costs around 17,600 yen, or roughly $120.

The FF9 Acrylic Stand Collection offers eight different designs, sold in blind boxes, adding an element of surprise for collectors.
