Niko Partners' report highlights 15 games approved by China's National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) for release within the country. Among them, a mobile version of Final Fantasy XIV, reportedly developed by Tencent, is listed. This aligns with previous, unconfirmed reports of Tencent's involvement in such a project. Neither Square Enix nor Tencent has officially confirmed the development.

According to Daniel Ahmad of Niko Partners, the mobile FFXIV title is anticipated to be a standalone MMORPG, distinct from the PC version. However, Ahmad emphasizes that this information is based largely on industry rumors and lacks official confirmation.
