Fields of Mistria will launch its third major update on July 21, 2025, following its initial Early Access release last year. This substantial patch introduces a new dating mechanic, increased caps for heart levels and skills, additional events and quests, numerous quality-of-life upgrades, and much more. While the developers have shared a roadmap, here are the key highlights players can expect.

Date Your Favorite Villagers

This update delivers something for everyone, including features the community has eagerly anticipated since Early Access began. A major focus is enhancing interactions with the game's beloved NPCs. Players who maxed out their relationships long ago can now forge even deeper bonds. The update adds eight new heart events, offering special scenarios that provide greater insight into each villager's backstory and personality.

The long-awaited dating mechanic finally arrives. Players can now officially ask their favorite villagers out on dates. While romantic dialogue and moments existed before, this update formally introduces the option to pursue a romantic relationship.

For those who prefer deep friendship without romance, a new "Best Friend" path will also be available for villagers.

Players will have more opportunities to assist the townsfolk and engage with the community. Following the update, the Request Board will feature new tasks, alongside fresh Town Repair Quests, moving you closer to fully restoring Mistria. The Museum expands with new collectible sets and rewards for completing them. Even players who have reached Renown Level 90 can progress further, as the level cap increases, unlocking additional valuable rewards.

New Skill Perks and Expanded Storage

Revitalizing Mistria becomes more manageable with increased skill caps and new skill perks. Farming, fishing, foraging, and exploration will feel smoother and more rewarding. Naturally, growing collections demand more space. Fortunately, quality-of-life improvements include larger storage chests and a convenient auto-deposit feature, allowing you to transfer items to existing stacks with a single click.
