Final Fantasy 14 Offers Returning Players Tons of Free Playtime

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, offering eligible players four consecutive days of free gameplay across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

The campaign commenced on January 9th, 2025, and the four-day timer begins upon logging into the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start. Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are excluded. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

This generous offer arrives hot on the heels of Patch 7.15, which included new side quests, the return of the Hildibrand storyline, and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's recent New Year's message confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 for 2025, along with smaller content updates, and teased future developments in the Dawntrail main storyline.

While major content updates are still on the horizon, this Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to rejoin the adventure and catch up on the Dawntrail expansion's narrative before the release of Patch 7.2. The campaign also coincides with the ongoing Heavensturn event (until January 16th), offering a celebratory minion reward, and the upcoming release of Patch 7.16 on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series.
