Here’s the official blurb:

In Civilization 7 - VR, the world of Civilization comes to life in a way that's never been seen before. The game's map unfolds on a Command Table, allowing players to zoom in from a bird's-eye view to closely inspect the intricate details of buildings and units, reminiscent of an immersive tabletop game. Players will guide their civilization through history, engaging directly with iconic world leaders at the Command Table, who will react dynamically to the player's diplomatic decisions and declarations of war across the ages.

Civilization 7 - VR offers both immersive virtual reality and mixed reality experiences, with the flexibility to switch between them seamlessly. In virtual reality, players find themselves in a grand museum, gazing upon a vista tailored to their chosen leader. In mixed reality, the Command Table adjusts to the player's real-world environment. The Archives, a special room within the museum, showcases detailed dioramas of your gameplay achievements, visible in both virtual and mixed reality modes. Beyond single-player, the game supports online multiplayer, allowing up to four players on Meta Quest 3 and 3S to compete for global dominance.

The base game, *Civilization 7*, is currently accessible on PC and consoles for those who opted for advanced access. However, early feedback from Steam user reviews has been vocal about certain issues, including the user interface, a lack of map variety, and the absence of expected features at launch. Firaxis has taken this feedback to heart, committing to enhance the UI, introduce team-based multiplayer modes for cooperative play, and expand the variety of map types, among other improvements.

In a recent interview with IGN, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick addressed the mixed reception of *Civilization 7*, expressing confidence that the game's core audience would grow to appreciate it over time. He described the game's initial performance as "very encouraging," looking forward to its continued development and reception.
