I own three standing desks, one of which came with a desktop, while for the others, I sourced my own. I've used a massive 74"x26" maple veneered countertop from Ikea for $199 on one, and a 48"x25" solid wood countertop from Home Depot, which I finished myself, for the other. These options work well, and there are many more available. You can install your own desktop as long as it's within the weight limitations, which can offer more flexibility and potentially save money.
