Fortnite Adds a Highly Requested Feature
In the latest update for Chapter 6 Season 1, Fortnite has introduced an exciting feature allowing players to use Fortnite Festival's instruments as pickaxes and back blings. This season has brought a variety of additions that have been warmly received by the Fortnite community. In December 2024, Epic Games enriched the game with new modes such as Ballistic, LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life, and Fortnite OG, enhancing the gaming experience significantly.
Fortnite Festival stands out as a major mode within Fortnite, offering a unique gaming experience that many fans liken to the beloved Guitar Hero franchise. Players can engage with the mode using various instruments to play through a selection of songs. The Item Shop in Fortnite Festival allows players to purchase licensed music and instrument cosmetics, adding a personal touch to their gameplay. The recent addition of local co-op to Fortnite Festival has also been a hit, enabling players to enjoy the mode together in new ways. To further boost the mode's popularity, Epic Games has collaborated with renowned artists like Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and Lady Gaga.
A surprising addition in the latest update is the ability to use Fortnite Festival instruments within the battle royale mode. Players can now select items like microphones and guitars as their back blings and pickaxes. An instrument can serve as both a pickaxe and a back bling simultaneously; it will disappear from the character's back when used as a pickaxe and reappear when another item or weapon is selected. This feature coincides with a crossover event featuring Hatsune Miku, which introduces new outfits and instruments to the game.
Fortnite’s Instruments Can Now Be Used as Pickaxes and Back Blings
To utilize this new feature, players can navigate to their locker in the game and select the "instruments" option to sort their back blings and pickaxes. This update not only allows instruments to be used as pickaxes and back blings but also enhances their functionality within Fortnite Festival. The community's response to this highly requested feature has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the fans' appreciation for the new interactive possibilities.
Alongside this feature, the latest update introduces new cosmetics from the collaboration between Fortnite and Godzilla. Fans can now choose between pink and blue edit styles for the iconic monster. As players progress through the battle pass challenges, they can unlock additional accessories for Godzilla, including a wrap, harvester, glider, and more. With such a diverse range of new content, Fortnite's latest update continues to captivate and excite its fanbase.
