Fortnite x Monsterverse: Boss Fights, Mechagodzilla, and Kong Revealed
It's no longer a secret that Fortnite fans will soon be able to embrace their inner monster with the Godzilla skin, available starting January 17. Thanks to a recent leak, all the juicy details about the collaboration between Fortnite and the Monsterverse have spilled out onto the internet, giving players a sneak peek at what's coming.
Epic Games has already rolled out an update that will unlock on January 17, and dataminers have been quick to uncover the hidden gems within. Alongside the regular Godzilla skin that you'll be able to snag through the battle pass, you can also look forward to getting your hands on images of Mechagodzilla and Kong, which will be available in a set from the in-game store. This set will also feature unique jet packs and pickaxes tailored specifically for both skins, adding a personalized touch to your monstrous arsenal.
But the excitement doesn't stop there. Fortnite is set to launch an epic new boss event on January 17. During this event, one lucky player on the map will have the chance to transform into an oversized Godzilla and wreak havoc with its iconic atomic breath. The rest of the players will need to team up and strategize to take down this colossal beast. The player who deals the most damage to Godzilla throughout the entire battle will be rewarded with a special medallion that grants a unique ability, adding a thrilling competitive edge to the event.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will hit the Fortnite store at the usual time and will be priced as follows:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
- Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks
Beyond the thrilling Monsterverse collaboration, Fortnite continues to attract a diverse range of performers and artists. There's buzz that the beloved vocaloid Hatsune Miku might soon make an appearance. Fans have caught wind of the social media exchange where the Hatsune Miku account mentioned a missing backpack, and the Fortnite Festival account playfully responded that they had it. This interaction has sparked speculation about an upcoming collaboration.
Alongside the basic Vocaloid skin, players can expect a stylized pickaxe and a variant of the "Miku the Catgirl" skin. To top it off, there might even be a virtual Hatsune Miku concert, adding a musical twist to the Fortnite experience.
